In a recent interview with Zane Lowe , a radio host on Apple Music , Angus Young reminisced about how some AC/DC were created and revealed that the beloved "Highway to Hell" came about during a trip to the bathroom.

“I was sitting ‘on the throne,’ so I said to myself, ‘I think I’ve got it,’” he revealed. The song gives its name to the 1979 album, and at the time of its creation, Angus recalls that they were in Miami, in the United States, rehearsing songs. “Then I went to my brother [ Malcolm Young ] and said, ‘I’ve got a good idea in my head.’”

He detailed the creative process, explaining that he showed his brother the iconic riff, and then the drums were added. However, they couldn't find a way to fit the melody to the vocals. It was then that the guitarist had to go to the bathroom because of a stomach ache and returned inspired.
